Description

The artistic practice of Lucy+Jorge Orta often incorporates large public meals and thoughtful conversations about sustainability and art. Join us for a tour of the Peeler Art Center exhibition Lucy+Jorge Orta: Food-Water-Life immediately followed by an Orta-inspired dinner at the DePauw campus farm. Transportation from the Peeler Art Center to the campus farm will be provided. Students may reserve meal tickets for $5 per person. A limited number of tickets will be available to faculty and staff for $15 per person on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant will also receive a dinner plate designed by students enrolled in Meredith Brickell’s studio art course. Provided with support from Arts Illiana; the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency; and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Additional funding provided by: The Department of Conflict Studies, The Douglas I. and Ann U. Smith Endowed Fund for Ethics, and the Public Occasions Committee.
