Abstract
Many DePauw students do community service during their time in college. Putnam County has around 80 nonprofit organizations, many of which benefit from volunteers. Students and organizations sometimes have difficulty communicating and connecting to accomplish their common goal of serving the community. DPUServe is a website which connects volunteers to organizations in order to help both parties achieve their common goal. DPUServe has two types of users: those looking for community service opportunities, and those posting community service opportunities. Users can make an account on DPUServe under one of these two categories, and navigate through the website according to what they are looking to accomplish. Nonprofit organizations can post information about their organization, service opportunities, and a contact person. Users looking for community service opportunities can view all of these postings and contact the nonprofit they are interested in serving.
