Abstract
Often, college students are forced to buy new items, such as textbooks and furniture, which can be very expensive and unsustainable. Simultaneously, students frequently dispose of items that they no longer need, such as clothing and electronics, which can contribute to waste and harm the environment. Uni-Trade is an Android mobile application that is designed to address the problem of limited access to affordable items for students and the environmental waste problem caused by unwanted possessions. It does this by facilitating the buying and selling of used goods among students in a college or university campus. The Uni-Trade application provides a user-friendly interface for creating new listings, searching for items, and communicating with other users. It also includes features to ensure the safety and reliability of transactions such as seller ratings, secure payment options, and direct messaging between buyers and sellers. All listed items are stored securely in a remote database which updates the application in real-time as soon as such items are sold.
