Abstract
Cate is a desktop application that a user can upload a file to and receive a URL to download that respective file. Cate, a play on replicate, can exist in a multitude of combinations, sitting on a remote server somewhere with a local desktop client to send files, just the local client for smaller use cases, or solely living on a server for commercial purposes. In combination with Rust, the Apache2 web server, and Docker, Cate makes it easy to store files for remote download.
