Abstract

Nowadays the need for different, strong and secure passwords is paramount to keeping users safe online as data breaches continue to happen. Only having a single secure password is dangerous as a leak somewhere else could compromise a user's entire online identity. Tiger Vault, a Windows desktop application, remedies this by having a secure place for all the credentials a user needs, promoting digital hygiene by having an easy way to create and update strong passwords. Tiger Vault serves as a password manager that stores login credentials for the user with a clean and user-friendly interface. Tiger Vault also serves as a password/phrase generator by providing options for the user to create stronger passwords, such as password length, and options for the different character types. If the user would like a more complex password, the user also has the option to upgrade simple passwords into a more complex passphrase by taking the characters and turning it into an acrostic mnemonic device. Tiger Vault provides all of this in a nice, clean user-interface that keeps its main functionality easy to use and access.
