Abstract
Ever wondered how future employers, graduate schools, or journal editors will find your work when hundreds of other people share your name? Your college email will expire after graduation, but your research shouldn't vanish with it. This hands-on workshop introduces you to an ORCID iD—your free, permanent 16-digit ID number that connects all your projects, papers, and achievements directly to you for the rest of your career. In this session, you will create your account, configure key privacy settings, and add your accomplishments—including class capstones, summer research posters, code repositories, and lab projects. You'll also learn how to add your ID to your resume, LinkedIn, and grad school applications. You will leave the workshop with a finished profile and a step-by-step checklist to keep your academic identity accurate as you launch your career.
