Abstract
This paper utilizes complex systems theory to argue that we are currently living in catastrophic collapse of the global system. It focuses on topics like climate chance, ecological destruction, pandemics, fuel shortages, warfare, and global hunger to illustrate the interconnections between multiple points of failure within the global system. The argument maintains that sustainability perspectives miss the fundamental reality of the global crisis.
