Social Strategies: Redefining Social Realism introduces tendencies in contemporary art that redefine social realism and examines ways in which contemporary artist have used art as a platform to air their views, personal politics, and visionary alternatives. This renewed social praxis will be explored by works in a broad range of media form internationally renowned contemporary artists, including: Tracy Emin, Gilbert & George, Nan Goldin, Felix Gonzàlez-Torres, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Wolfgang Laib, Neo Rauch, Sam Taylor-Wood, and Sue Williams. -
