Course Description
The class is a one-semester, half-course survey of solo vocal literature (Art Song) in England, the United States, and France. Prerequisites: MUS 265 and MUS 266 or consent of instructor.

Student Outcomes
Upon successfully completing the course, you will be familiar with the important composers, styles, scholarship, and representative works of the genre. Each student will also present on three songs (one from each area of the class) that offer ways to diversify the repertoire to represent the full range of creative activity by all peoples in these areas.
