Course Description
Do the ends justify the means? Does God exist? What is it like to be a bat? In this course, we will explore these and other fundamental philosophical questions. No prior experience with philosophy is expected or required. This course satisfies DePauw’s Arts and Humanities distribution requirement. It is designed to teach you to develop your capacities for clear and independent thought, to express your own ideas and others’ ideas clearly both orally and in writing, and to engage in serious ethical and philosophical reflection.
