Course Description
From the course catalogue: Grounding in American acting technique, paying particular attention to objective, obstacle, playable action, character analysis, improvisation, and understanding and development of the vocal instruments. This course is designed to familiarize you with basic acting vocabulary and technique. Based on the principle that “acting is doing,” we will engage in regular hands-on explorations and scene work. Since acting also requires extensive use of the imagination, we will also make use of written analysis as a tool for character and scene study
