Course Description

In this course students will: ● Develop their individual level of performance on the clarinet, including the elements of technique, tone production, articulation, phrasing, and interpretation. ● Synthesize and apply knowledge and skills learned in other music courses to improve performance quality. ● Cultivate a knowledge of the repertoire of the clarinet, including solo, chamber, and orchestral literature through study and listening.

Student Outcomes

Students will - ● Perform fundamental technical exercises appropriate to their level and degree program. ● Apply various practice techniques to solve technical and musical problems in their individual practice to prepare studies and repertoire. ● Perform repertoire appropriate to their level and degree program.
