Course Description

In this course, students will learn English diction through the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), and sung exercises.

Student Outcomes

1. Students will be able to transcribe English vocal literature using the International Phonetic Alphabet. 2. Students will be able to read and accurately sound out IPA symbols. 3. Students will be able to sing literature in English using American Standard, Mid-Atlantic, and British Received pronounciations.
