Course Description
Welcome to Psychology Senior Seminar, the capstone of your academic career at DePauw. The thesis allows you to focus in-depth on a topic of your choosing, utilizing the knowledge and skills you've learned in your psychology courses. It is a significant undertaking, but if you devote the effort, you will be proud of your expertise and accomplishment. In addition to representing the capstone experience of your major, the PSY 493 course and thesis project serve a number of shared departmental and university goals.

Student Outcomes
Demonstrate improved scientific inquiry and critical thinking skills. Demonstrate an increased knowledge of the content of Psychology as a field, and your thesis topic in particular. Better identify, describe, and appreciate ethical and social, and philosophical implications of ideas and findings in psychology. Demonstrate improved ability to communicate about information and ideas in psychology in both writing and speaking. Use the knowledge and experience from the capstone to better reflect on long-term professional goals.
