For this class, our focus will be on the pre- conversion insular literature. 2. Work independently and take responsibility for their own learning, setting goals, managing their time, and seeking out resources and support as needed. 3. Synthesize and evaluate multiple perspectives on their chosen subject of research, and demonstrate a deep understanding of the literary, historical, and cultural contexts of their subject. 4. Communicate their ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and present their research findings to a professional audience.
