Student Outcomes
1- Students will be able to understand computational information processing and data representation 2- Students will be able to use simple data structures, conditional statements, iteration, and methods to develop solutions to basic problems. 3- Students will be able to solve basic information processing problems, such as analyzing text data and performing elementary statistics on them. It will cover elementary principles of computer science and will teach students to independently write programs in the computer language Python. 4- Students will be able to identify ethical issues such as those involved in the manufacture of computer chips and collecting data for projects where bias issues result from datasets that lack adequate representation.
