Course Description
Applied Voice Lessons consist of a series of either half-hour or one-hour weekly lessons each semester and one monthly studio class. It is an opportunity for the individual singer to gain experience and knowledge in classical vocal technique, performance and repertoire to prepare each student to be better performers and to prepare for end of the semester voice juries.

Student Outcomes
Each lesson is graded based on preparation, willingness to learn and progress. Explore the myriads of possibilities of the human voice through vocal exercise and repertoire. Gain knowledge of repertoire appropriate to the singers’ voice types. Show commitment to understanding and communicating the text. Practice performance skills and build confidence. Develop warm up and practicing skills. Gain awareness of vocal health.
