Course Description
This course focuses on the improvement of skill sets required in the areas of keyboard techniques, music reading, harmonization, transposition, improvisation, intermediate solo and accompanying repertoire as well as ensemble playing.

Student Outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to perform the following tasks: ● Play all major and minor scales, arpeggios, and blocked chords with inversions ● Sight-read upper-elementary piano music ● Be able to prepare and play an open score ● Play intermediate piano solo and ensemble repertoire as well as accompaniment ● Transpose simple pieces ● Play chord progresions with substitute chords and secondary dominants ● Harmonize melodies using different types of accompaniment
