Course Description

Individualized instruction in musical proficiency and professional preparedness. Emphasis on creativity, as well as standard literature and repertoire, and including literature and repertoire by historically underrepresented artists.

Student Outcomes

● Establish individual goals and create an action plan that serves to achieve them ● Develop strong technical playing fundamentals ● Develop extensive knowledge of repertoire, literature, and renowned figures ● Develop and cultivate technological skills related to a modern career in music ● Develop performance strategies that address individual needs ● Develop professional communication skills through group discussion, peer performing, mock-auditions, and chamber music
