Course Description
This course is for students who have been raised using Spanish with family and/or in their local communities, but have received the majority of their formal education in English. In this course, we will focus on advanced reading and writing strategies and differentiation between written and oral registers of Spanish through discussions of key themes that affect Latinx communities in the U.S. This course focuses on Spanish as a national language in the U.S., the deconstruction of myths based on power and privilege associated with being Latinx in the U.S.

Student Outcomes
Clearly express their ideas and the ideas of others to varied audiences, both in writing and orally.
