Course Description
FREN110A is an intensive, fast-paced, and highly interactive one- semester review of the elementary structures of French. This course is exclusively offered to students who have prior experience in French. It consists of a variety of in- and out-of-class communicative activities (reading, writing, speaking and listening) designed to encourage students to practice their newly acquired vocabulary and grammatical structures in small groups and/or pairs. The pace of this course is not for the faint of heart. As we progress through the semester, the material will become increasingly challenging and will require time, dedication and consistent study habits. Finally, as with all French courses offered at DePauw, this class will gradually be conducted entirely en français.
