Abstract

Marvins.com is a website for the local fast food delivery restaurant which allows customers to browse the menu and order food online for pickup or delivery. The site is built with Ruby on Rails. A customer can use their email address to sign up for an account, which allows them to save personal information such as their delivery location. Customers also have the option to pick up their food at the restaurant. In addition, Marvin’s has access to an administrator account that allows them to log-in and manipulate the menu and the event calendar. While the website has payment functionality, it prioritizes a user-friendly interface over complex technical features—the interface follows good design principles and is tested by users.
