Abstract

SocialMeter is a Python framework that is to be used as a tool to run sentiment analysis. The framework comes with modules that can be added in the configuration of the framework in a middleware architecture, focused on source, analysis method and output. These modules are extensible but also work out of the box. Source modules are focused around retrieving data, analysis is focused around how to analyze the data, and output modules format the data or filter it to the output.
