History of the Journal

Founded in 1988, A Midwestern Review: A Magazine of the Arts and Issues at DePauw University is DePauw University’s student-led literary magazine. Since its inception A Midwestern Review: A Magazine of the Arts and Issues at DePauw University has strived to foster a creative community dedicated to uplifting the work of student artists and writers. Issues have been published each semester for most of the magazines run. The COVID-19 Pandemic halted the magazine's operations until Spring of 2022 when it was revived by Layla Brown-Clark and Kaitlynn Franks.

The students on staff are solely responsible for the content of the magazine, although any individual opinions expressed are those of the individual writer.
