Mission

Founded in 1988, A Midwestern Review: A Magazine of the Arts and Issues at DePauw University (AMWR) is DePauw University’s student-led literary magazine. Our mission is to support a community of creative writers, poets, and artists that are dedicated to their craft by giving them a platform to promote their work for future endeavors in these fields. As a longstanding fixture of DePauw’s illustrious culture, the Executive Staff of AMWR is grateful for the opportunity to continue the tradition of bringing this magazine to our peers. We recognize the importance of providing students with a space to showcase their work at an undergraduate level beyond just what they do in the classroom and hope that having work published in A Midwestern Review can act as a stepping stone for our writers and artists to do just that.
