Course Description
Students will identify a research topic, perform a literature review, create a rationale-based research design, gather and analyze data, and report their findings. Developing and executing a formal research project that aligns with a student's personal and professional goals is the primary purpose of this course. Students will develop skills in self-motivation, independence, and communication.

Student Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Identify, critically analyze, and incorporate relevant literature into a research project.
2. Demonstrate proficiency with research techniques, tools, and software.
3. Implement, execute, and accurately document all laboratory studies.
4. Effectively communicate the outcomes and significance of their research to an appropriate audience.
