Course Description
The course is an introduction to the essential concepts, tools and methods of statistics & econometrics and their applications for students in economics and business. It covers the two main branches of statistics: descriptive statistics (data collection and summarization & interpretation through numerical and graphical techniques) and inferential statistics (applying statistical techniques to make estimates or test claims about a population based on sample information). The course material covers descriptive data analysis, random variables, sampling distribution, point and interval estimation, hypotheses testing and regression analysis. In this course we use Microsoft Excel as an analysis tool
