Course Description
FREN 102 is an introduction to the language and cultures of the French-speaking world. It is designed for students who have completed FREN101. If you are uncertain about your eligibility for this course, please let me know immediately so that we can make sure you are enrolled in a course for which you will receive credit. Successful completion of FREN 101 + 102 satisfies the language requirement for the Bachelor of Arts at DePauw.

Student Outcomes
After this course, students will be able to: engage in simple oral and written exchanges in French in the present, past, future, and conditional tenses; understand spoken French on a variety of topics; describe basic cultural information and perspectives of the francophone world and compare them with those in the US or countries with which students are familiar; and use appropriate cultural behavior in social situations.
