Course Description
The objective of this course if to train learners to function successfully in Chinese culture using Mandarin as their primary language. Learners are expected to learn how to present themselves in a way that a Chinese native speaker will feel comfortable. Aside from building up language skills, the course will also help learners acquire an elementary level of understanding the Chinese interpersonal behavioural culture. After a semester of studying, learners will be expected to perform in listening, speaking, reading and writing Chinese at a level of proficiency appropriate continuing on to the next course level in the sequence
