Student Outcomes
When you finish the laboratory portion of Chem 130, you should be able to: perform basic inorganic syntheses and characterization techniques by following written instructions with technical language. understand 3D structure of molecular and extended structures using molecular modeling and visualization software. analyze data, draw conclusions, and understand when hypotheses are either supported or not supported. critically assess your own experimental technique and their results to propose plausible reasons that an experiment did not work. use knowledge from class to inform laboratory experiments and use the results in the laboratory to understand concepts related to class. communicate the items above effectively in writing through your laboratory notebook and in your reports for the class.
