Course Description
This course is designed for music major students who have completed at least two semesters of piano. Depending on each student's ability, they will be improving their piano skills that are necessary for any professional musician. Students will be building upon what they have learned during previous semesters of piano and would incorporate the knowledge they acquired in other musical courses , particularly music theory.

Student Outcomes
During this course students will further develop their piano skills in order to creatively use those skills in their postgraduate careers, engage with audiences , their students and community. Students will continue to improve in: ● constructing and performing various five- finger patterns, scales, arpeggios, inversions ● playing elementary and more complex chord progressions in different keys ● performing elementary or early intermediate level solo and ensemble repertoire ● improvising accompaniments on a given melody ● transposing a melody line down and up by various intervals ● learning to accompany voice or solo instrument ● sight-reading an elementary level keyboard work ● reading 2-4 parts from the open score
