Welcome to the Fall 2012 issue of A Midwestern Review!

We are very proud of the high quality of work that was submitted to the magazine this semester and look forward to everyone reading the selected pieces that have been published. We congratulate the students whose work was chosen! We also give a special thanks to our hardworking staff who it made A Midwestern Review possible and aided in keeping its legacy alive. This edition’s particular cover was chosen for its representation of the over arching theme in the magazine: identity. The cover displays a scene of self-discovery that is continued throughout the magazine. The various poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and art pieces tell stories of self-searching and discovering one’s own identity. We hope you enjoy the exploration of identity and the stories that each creative work shows.
