Student Outcomes
After successful completion of the course, you will: • have internalized the grammatical structures covered in chapters 5 thru 10; • be able to maintain basic conversations in French about leisure activities, weather, celebrations/parties, clothing, travel, housing, food, dining, and health. • be able to narrate past events and compose short writings in French working toward accurate use of grammar points covered in chapters 5 thru 10; • be able to read and listen to basic texts in French, globally understand their meaning, and answer questions about their content; • be familiar with and discuss different cultural and social aspects of the francophone (French-speaking) world in French and/or English.
