Student Outcomes
Students will learn 7-14 variations for each Ballroom dance form (Foxtrot, Jitterbug, Waltz, Tango, and Cha-Cha). These variations are to be worked on as a couple outside of class with the provided music. Please see the stereo cabinet for the class music provided. During class, students will be called on to demonstrate variations and explain previously studied material. Every three weeks students will perform in front of the class a dance covering all variations studied during the Ballroom dance form unit. In addition to a performance test, each student will take a written test covering the history of each dance form studied. This material will be available the first day of each dance form unit and will be discussed in class as each dance form is introduced to the students.
