Course Description
This course is overall unlike many biology and science courses you will take at DePauw. Rather than acquainting you with a branch of science and the processes scientists follow, Biodiversity (as I am teaching it) is a class in scientific vocabulary. My goal is to get you familiar, at least at a superficial level, with the myriad forms of life on the planet. Memorization, observation, and organization of facts are key skills for this course! We will use a phylogenetic framework for organizing the information, but really, it’s a lot of memorization
